Shut in bloggers everywhere face the problems of Blog Smog…don’t let it happen to you! A greenish, ghoulish Blogger stars in Santa Maria’s animation for a Dentyne mini-website devoted to the perils of Blog Smog. 

Inhabiting a surreal cityscape that resembles our own, except a little creepier, the Blogger inflicts harm to humans and animals alike. He doesn’t realize that by sitting in front of his computer, with his mouth closed all day, he perpetrates the worst offense: the formation of Blog Smog. What he doesn’t know is that by chewing Dentyne Gum he could be curing the mass manslaughter he causes others.

Santa Maria blended a lo-fi drawing style to create an eerie, hacked together, yet cohesive, visual style. Backgrounds were illustrated simply, with a side of rough and gritty, to add to the creepy and uneasy feel of the piece.
