To encourage children to read more, McDonald's and Leo Burnett London chose to include books from legendary writer Roald Dahl in the Happy Meal boxes. So, they continued their longstanding relationship with Hornet director Peter Sluszka to create a handful of spots that would promote the campaign in the image of Dahl's one-of-a-kind worlds. In this particular spot, we follow an adventurous girl who encounters a series of "incredible creatures" that bring her along on their "amazing adventures." Bookending this sweet 2D watercolor journey are the famous 3D 'Happy' characters who show children just how fun and adventurous the imagination can be.
